Cake pops made easy
I picked up one of these cake pop makers, and used my 40% off coupon. I feel like for the price I paid, this is a great purchase. A friend of mine said they had one, and the only issue they had, was that they didn't cook them long enough once, and they didn't turn out. The instructions say to bake them 4-6 minutes, so I did it for 6 minutes the first time. They were well done using that time, but still edible. After varying times, I have decided that the 4 minute baking time works the best for me. They don't come out a perfect circle, and kind of have a ring around them, but they still work well. I used them with my chocomaker chocolate melter (also available at Hobby Lobby), and made adorable valentines day pops. The machine works well, and the tray that comes with it to hold the pops is great (I just wish it held even more). *Tip I used a "pancake pen available at William Sonoma (used for pancake molds), to fill up the individual cake pop slots. It worked perfectly for evenly dispensing the cake batter, and beats using a messy tablespoon like it recommended.
