I'm a past sewing and needlework designer; published. This fabric is soft so lends itself to all kinds of things. I can see it smocked in a matching but bright pink with light pearls for a little older girl for Easter. I make my own piping out of washable satin. I'd use a pale pink. A simple dress with a high waist and a wide pale yellow tie in the back. For a young girl I'd make the same type of dress with an eyelet penafore. For Mom; a gored skirt and a matching knitted or crochet sweater set. If the skirt was gathered, to take out some bulk. I'd smock 5 or six rows right under the waist band. This fabric feels like "Liberty of London."
