I use these books for watercolor painting, sometimes with Micron ink pens, and I love the results. The paper is amazingly water proof and stays flat. Even though it is thin, I never have bleed through, unless I rub a hole through the paper; it does not take any rubbing, or lifting, like a thicker watercolor paper does. I don't usually use both sides of the pages, because darker colors show through slightly when dry, but you could if you wanted. I love the paper finish, it is soft and fairly smooth, with a tiny bit of irregular texture, and some bumps in spots, which adds to a handmade, non-mechanical look. I've filled seven or eight of these books, with everything from color swatches to brush stroke practice to finished paintings. The leather covers are beautiful. I will keep using these as long as they are available.
