Fiesta Party Around Your Neck
WARNING: Very novice knitter!
I made 2 scarves: 10 stitches & 6 stitches. The 10-S scarf was big, fluffy and short for me but an excellent choice for a teenager.
The 6-S scarf is a circular scarf. I have a variety of ways to wear it.
Two disappointments, one skein was knotted several times. As a rare knitter, this was disconcerting but I figured out how to merge the ends together. The other disappointment was the directions on the package to create this scarf - the finishing (binding off). But I figured that out too.
Tip: When beginning or ending, fold back the end two loops and pull the bottom edge loop up to bury the edge. The lacy ruffle will hide the flaws.
Tip 2: Use wooden chopsticks for knitting needles. The stitches slip quickly off the metal needles and if you're not careful, the unraveling will take out footage! Good news, the re-knitting goes faster since the loops are prepped and ready.
Idea: I think this yarn would make a nice triangular ruffle to attach to your blouse, either looping the buttons or using a brooch or small safety pins.
