Don't waste your money!!
I wanted to make a magnetic board shown on a free craft sheet from Hobby Lobby with instructions on how to make it. I used a different base or board material as I could not find what was on the craft item page but made sure it was an item listed on the can. I bought Krylon Magnetic spray paint and a 3 oz. can of Krylon colored paint to spray over the magnetic paint. The magnetic paint would not spray evenly and left what appeared as fuzz or dust on the board after spraying. I contacted Krylon about the problem and was told to spay closer to the object I was spraying because that result can be from the paint partially drying before coming in contact with the surface. I sprayed a few more coats but it was still uneven, dark in spots and light in spots as if it didn't cover that area as well. I wasn't too worried because I had the colored paint made to spray over it. Although that paint sprayed unevenly too. I sprayed holding the can closer as I'd been told to with the magnetic paint but had the same result. So I thought well, it could still work if I added different accessories to the board but first I wanted to make sure magnets would stick. Bad story gone worse, not one magnet stuck and I used very thin, light magnets and medium weight magnets. I wasted almost $15.00 on Krylon paint alone not to mention the other materials for the project most of which I am now throwing away.
If you want to paint with magnetic paint, don't waste your money on Krylon. You may as well take your money and throw it out the window if you do.
Hope you have better luck than I did.
