Manuscript Scribe Pen
This is the third drawing Manuscript Scribe Pen I have purchased. The other two were from several years ago. The new one worked well (with initial usual soapy water cleaning), right out of the box. These compare well to the Rotring Art pens now made in the UK. I used a converter from other Manuscript purchases, with Pelican ink. I prefer color choices. The style is moderately different now, black cap tip, no longer green. The German made Rotring was a VERY smooth writing/drawing pen. New Rotrings from the UK were a little "scratchy" to start. Manuscript is now offering this lovely comparable to the well made German Rotring Art Pen of years ago. The newest Scribe had a rubber finger grip above the nib, older versions (as in the photo) don't have it. These comments are in fairness for the previous negative review. If you love fountain pens, this works well for writing or drawing. I have been very happy with all three from the Scribe Drawing series.
