Instructions Wrong, Not Real Petri Dish
If I could give this 0 stars, I would.
The instructions indicate that there is enough agar for six experiments. That's not true. If you follow their instructions, they've provided enough for 3 experiments.
The instructions are also just plain wrong. They tell you to add a half cup of water to the agar. If you do that, you will wind up with a liquid rather than a gel. In hindsight, I wish I had not added as much water as they had said.
These are also not proper petri dishes. They are small flimsy plastic containers about two inches wide with quite a bit of give. If you do get these, make sure you put them on a plate before pouring the agar. It will be very difficult to transfer the dishes to your fridge without spilling the liquid all over the place if you don't.
Do not waste your money on this. You'd be better off putting jello in a dixie cup or spending more money to get something that actually works.
