Vacuum application didn't work

I have mixed reviews on this product. I bought this product yesterday and today I go to open the box and notice it's shrink wrapped and not in the original packaging. After I take the shrink wrap off I notice the cardboard inside the box was ripped in 2 spots, which then I know someone else had previously bought this item and returned it. But I thought well maybe they just didn't like it and returned it that I'll still give it a try. I carefully took everything out of the packaging, turn it on and the first thing I noticed is the motor is pretty loud, so I let it warm up on the lowest setting for 5 minutes like the directions said. I then turned it up to the third setting and went to vacuum my rhinestone on to the tip, I placed my finger over the holes on the wand like the directions said and the vacuum didn't work, I tried a few more times and still it wouldn't work. I then placed the rhinestone onto my fabric and heated the rhinestone in place and that worked how it was intended to do. I will be returning this item today because the vacuum on it isn't working and what's the sense in paying $49.99 for something that just doesn't work fully. I decided I'll just purchase the cheaper one because I've heard positive stories about it and I'll be looking to make sure the packaging isn't shrink wrapped and I'm buying another faulty product. If someone returns a product because it's not working Hobby Lobby shouldn't place this item back on their shelves so another customer can waste their time buying something that doesn't work only to have to return it. Overall, maybe I just bought a faulty product and the other's will work fine but I'm not going to try again out of fear this is something that happens with time on the Glitzup vacuum rhinestone applicator.

We do not accept International orders online.

Your order will need to ship to a US Destination, such as a freight forwarder. By doing so your order will be eligible for our US shipping rates which often include free shipping.

If you would like for us to ship your order directly to you, you will be charged the actual postage amount. That amount is calculated once your order is picked, packed and ready to ship.  International shipping address are excluded from all shipping discounts.  All orders shipped to an International location are charged the actual cost of shipping.

Please note that this policy does not include Military Addresses, Guam, Puerto Rico & the US Virgin Islands. We will accept and ship orders to these destinations.

Return Policy

  • Hobby Lobby Stores cannot accept returns for purchases made online.
  • If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase you may return your item(s) to us within 30 days.
  • Items returned must be in sellable condition.  Opened or used merchandise can not be returned.
  • If you have received damaged, broken, or defective merchandise please contact Customer Service at 1-800-888-0321 Ext 1275 before returning the item(s). 
  • Please allow up to 2 weeks for your return to be processed and credit issued.
  • You will receive a refund for the purchase price of the item and applicable sales tax.  Credit will be issued to the credit card used at the time of purchase.
  • Shipping and handling charges will not be credited unless the reason for the return is our error.
