Precise Inking, Joy to Work With
I first discovered Sakura Micron pens about two years ago and I have been using them ever since. Even the finest-point ink pens can't compete with these. Roller-ball pens will bleed; these won't. My favorite is the 005--super fine, like the tip of a needle. It accomplishes feathery, sketch-like quality that scans beautifully into a computer.
These markers are ideal for anyone who draws manga, but could also be used by other artists looking for a dark, solid inking tool that won't fade or smear. They can draw over a thin layer of graphite (which makes them good for inking comics and the like) and look very nice on quality scrapbook paper, journals, and greeting cards. They last a good while, and you can buy them individually to replace the ones that get used the most. I have had no fading of the ink.
These are my favorite pens out of all the pens I've tried so far. They are not for children or anyone who would use them carelessly, as the tips can be damaged if dropped on their head. (Capped, though, they're pretty good survivors.)
This set of 6 provides a nice range of sizes which should be suitable for most purposes.
