Pretty Good.
Since this is the first easel I've ever purchased I have nothing to compare it to, but it certainly appears capable of fulfilling it's assigned task. I needed a simple table top easel to use for practicing airbrushing and this fit the bill.
First, mine came with instructions, albeit quite minimal instructions. The wood used is of excellent quality and is nicely finished. All other parts of good quality. Assembly was easy and quick. The only quality complaint I have is that mine didn't come with a pre-drilled pilot hole in the rear leg for the eye bolt that secures the chain to the rear leg, but that's easy enough to fix.
One thing I think a potential buyer should be aware of is that the horizontal bar that supports the displayed item has no fixed attachment points to the front legs. The two horizontal members use the eye blot that secures the chain to the front of the easel as a clamp that tightens them down on the front legs to hold them in place. It works OK, but every time you set this easel up you're gong to have to level the display, either by eyeballing it or using a small bubble level. However, this also has one benefit. You can raise or lower the horizontal members as needed to meet the needs of the displayed item.
One small thing I don't like about this unit is the fact that the front eye bolt protrudes through to the front of the easel about 1/2 inch which, to me, presents a possible snagging issue. Also, both the eye bolt and it's associated wing nut are both plain, unpolished steel. Not very pretty to look at. However, for about an additional $2.00 in screws and eye bolts, along with a couple of minutes of drilling, I figure I can fix this up to be perfect for my needs.
