When you have children make a craft, don't have an example.  This allows children to be creative and have unique results.  At a camp, I had the kids make paper mache birds.  I told them to roll newspaper into a ball and then make the different features of the bird like the head and beak.  The birds ranged from penguins to humming birds.  ~Submitted by a Crafty Customer
